For some very strange reason, the city has put a very large pile of charcoal in the middle of the road in our back alley. It stinks of tar (though there doesn't seem to be any tar involved) and is still steaming hot after 24 hours. I have NO IDEA what this would be used for.

In other news, keeping very busy with work. Enjoying the sun in the evenings. Tried a new Vietnamese/Thai restaurant down the road from our place (thanks Chris!) and living for the weekends.

Trying to learn as much about Rome as possible in the coming few weeks, but not making much headway on the Italian.

Been cooking a lot; some simple casseroles which are all I can muster after a 9-hour non-stop day, but yesterday I made korean beef (bulgogi-ish), stir-fried tofu, snow peas, rice, and sesame beansprout salad.

This weekend, must do more wedding stuff. Must get Chris to do things like make up a registry wish list. God - this is so much work! Oh, and green beer!
