Wicked day. It was above 15 in the sun this afternoon, perfect.
Got up nice and early, did some G-crap work, cleaned a bit. Went outside to clean up the garden, now that the snow is melted all the dead begonia stalks are rotten and very unpretty to look at. Went in with rubber boots, work gloves, pruners and the last remaining yard waste bag we had left and cleaned up the entire garden. I discovered that ladybugs hibernate above ground on the dirt in the winter, and the millipeed babies are already squirming and alive in March - I jumped on them to kill them. Picked up after the red berry bunches that our tree keeps dropping, and then, just for the heck of it, spread the snow out in the backyard so that it melts faster.

Other than killing milipeeds, it was a good morning. Also saw the we have surprise crocuses and tulips coming up on the side of the house (surprise since I didn't plant them, and we moved post-spring flowers time). Those plus the whole bucket of bulbs I planted last fall by the garage will make for lovely color around the house.

Chris got up, we cleaned up a bit more, then had some good full breakfast, then rode bikes to the B'oon mall, got last minute groceries and some other things. Made my awesome Orange sweet potatoe and fried noodle salad from this AWESOME cook book: Bowl Food - not a single recipe has disapointed me yet, and for $30, it is fantastic to have a full-color photo for each of the 200+ recipes.

Kids came over at around 4 pm, BBQ'd played a game, watched Pootie Tang again, and had good times. They all left by 10ish, which left time for Chris and I to have left-over pie, for me to finish my reading for math group and still get in bed at a good time.

Hoping to ride our bikes into school tomorrow, and have Sushi for lunch (yum! I haven't had sushi since before my first wisdom tooth came out!) This coming week will mean more thesis work, getting back on track with job applications, and other than a silly potential trip to Calgary, mostly relaxing and enjoying the newly-cleaned house.
