So, we watched "Holmes on homes" this weekend - where the featured house had a mold problem. We got nervous watching the show because our bathroom - our teenie tiny bathroom with no vents, no fan, and a window that we have to seal for the winter, has had weird orange globs growing on the ceiling. Mr. Clean didn't kill them. Bleech didn't kill them.

Scary.

So - we decided to chip all the paint off the ceiling and we will clean and dry it really well before re-painting it with proper mildew-resistant bathroom ceiling paint. So, we did this all weekend. And, it's a mess, and it smells, and we're not done chipping the paint off, and the fumes/spores/mold is making me sick.

Not good.

In other news, found a lovely breakfast place to bring guests to next time we have visitors in Edmonton (of the parent-y type); and had a nice long chat with Paula on the phone. Am still waiting to find out about jobs... am just dying to find out.

Will enjoy a big bowl of spaghetti with garlic bread when I get home.
