Going back home tomorrow, which should be good. Not done my mum's scarf, but will have time at night there to do some kniting. Somehow fit everything into 1 suitcase, with 1 large purse and my computer travel case. Not too bad given that it's winter and x-mas time too. Would have liked to be coming back on Dec. 31 to hang out with everyone here for New Years' but that would be really wrong, right? Afterall, my parents did pay for my ticket back home... grrr. No one other than my family is left back home, the last person who was there, "X" left for Korea in November. So I'll be going to my aunt's for x-mas with all my mum's side of the family, my grandparents are coming over for New Years' eve, and then my aunt from my dad's side of the family will be over for New Years' day. Argh, no funky cool people to hang out with, no smoochy Chris to, well, smooch, and no fun PST-free shopping.
The things I AM looking forward to doing while away:
1) Get the new treebeard CD (supposedly they gave me my 'props' in the liner notes)
2) Go eat at the lovely Social
3) Buy funky underwear at Urban Outfitters in Montreal
4) Homecooked meals
5) 55 inch TV
6) gift giving and getting
7) easily avoiding supervisors or people to whom I owe work
8) dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, car, all at my disposal
9) my old bed (which is just like my present bed, but much firmer
10) a chance to read fun books (going to read Lord of the Rings!)
Okay, going to finish the laundry, go to bed, take a shower, take out the trash, go to school, move furniture at the office, eat lunch, go home, clean the last dishes, pick up my luggage, get driven down to the airport, check in, get on the damn plane, and get home! What a day...
