Nargh, Blogger is working only sporadically and my computer got all stupid since my parents arived (what did they do a search for???) So, I don't know how often I can post from the office or school given those problems.
Things are going well, went to Calgary and the mountains on the weekend. Did a LOT of walking through the zoo, chinatown, downtown, a garden, and then the mountains and villages while we were there. Was quite cranky at times because the plan wasn't well planned, yet we had to stick to it. Also had to sit in a car for nearly 14 hours (no warning, argh!). Anyhow, back since Sunday.
Had a BBQ on Monday (holiday) and invited everyone, nearly everyone came out, which was good so my parents could put faces to names. No major problems at all, no one acting stupid. Got to play Taboo - love that game! Chris got back from Toronto much later that night, he picked me up for a coffee at around 1 am, then we went back to his place to - ahem - "catch up" :) It was so good to see him. Said he missed me a lot, and told me how much he loved me. So nice. He had been rather stressed back at home, and when he did call me once (to deal with office business) he was very businessy and to the point. He called right back and left a message to say that he was sorry that he was so short, and that he missed me too, and was looking forward to seeing me. Then, he called back the next day to make sure I had received that message and was super sweet and all. God I love him.
We're going to go camping in a dinosaur park (fossil-filled area!) next weekend. This weekend, going dancing with my parents and Chris on Friday, also having dinner together. Saturday we'll be going to a botanical garden for a tour with a (an?) horticulturalist, and then Sunday we may go to the Ukranian Cultural Village outside of town. Only a few days more after that and my parents will be going back home. I love them and all, and I want them to have a good time, but it is rather stressing and can be exhausting to show them around and have them stay in my little 1 bedroom apartment.
Anyhow.
Things are going really well out here.
And, oh my god. The final thing I'm going to write about before leaving to the Alumni BBQ: Buffy the Vampire Slayer finale KICKED ASS. Next season is SO going to rock!
